A gorgeous mid-Victorian pendant modelled as a cartoonish snake coiled around a large oval garnet cabochon prize. The stone is foil-backed, meaning that the light reflects back through it showing off the deep red colour. Modelled in 15k yellow gold, it dates from circa 1870.
